The only problem with fishing right now is to decide what you would like to fish for. Fishing in the Naples and Marco area is just absolutley some of the best I have seen in my 30 + years of fishing these waters. I hope this continues all summer. Read more...

If anyone asks if we have a decline in the Snook population we can dispell the rumors this week. I have seen more Snook in one week then i have in my whole life living here. The wind has been interesting. I would expect by now to be into summer wind patterns but NOOOO. Ofshore from the Southwest isn't helping things out much. Thank god the fish are here and wanting to eat. Snook, Tarpon, and Reds are in the feeding mood on fly, spin, and bait. Read more...

Fishing is starting to get good in the inshore and offshore waters of Naples and Marco Island. Lots of bait in the water so the fish are getting active. We are having some slow days but most are pretty good with nice catches of Snook and Redfish along with a Tarpon or two on both Bait and Fly. This week might be a little tough with the front though. Fished everyday last week and except for some wind burn we did ok. We didn't slay them by any means but we worked hard and caught some nice Redfish and Snook both at night and during the day in the Naples and Marco waters. Read more...

Well, I am sure glad to have this month behind me. I can sum it up in one word inconsistent. We fished hard this month and had some great fishing and some not so great. Weather, what can you say. 2008 ushers in the coldes record lows to date. Couldn't have come at a worst time with lower than normal lows taking the water out and super cooling the exposed flats. Fish kills in all the major creeks, but it could have been much worese. Read on. Read more...
