Everything old is new again at New Beginnings
Posted April 21, 2008
I found New Beginnings Furniture Consignment by accident on the way to the beach ... it was a good stop!
New Beginnings carry a better quality of furniture and accessories for your home. It was nicely displayed in an upscale manner. Pamela Cassano is the owner and is choosey about what she puts in her shop.
She buys, sells and consigns. Delivery and pick up is available. She also carries gifts and jewelry, antiques and collectibles and hand painted furniture. As soon as I walked in I saw a stunning pair of conversation sofas in perfect condition. They were only six months old and came from Gulf Harbor. Priced really low at $899. each with an additional 10 percent off!
There was a pretty marble table at $599 and a very unusual round table with a glass insert, the bottom were bronzed giraffes holding up the top at $1000. from Thomasville.
She has a good selection of toss pillows in great colors and beautiful tassels and throws. A rustic TV armoire was only $499. Or a bronze sink set in black marble with a decorative cabinet, $499.
Several neutral sofas, loves and chairs that will go with any decor. A large Stanley platinum buffet that sold for $2199 and now priced at $1000. I really liked the distressed glass curio cabinet and the antique china cabinet filled with lovely accessories.
All tapestry's were half off. There was an interesting lion fountain. You never know what you will find as it changes rapidly. I saw mirrors, bar stools, baskets and trays. Wicker chests, planters, lamps and chairs. A very unique corner cabinet from Thomasville that was hand-painted.
There were silk plants and floral arrangements, beautiful cut crystal perfume bottles, Two's Company frames and a scattering of jewelry.
She also has chandeliers and wall sconces. The old fashioned cherry dressing table with mirror and bench was reminiscence of days gone by.
It is an interesting shop and fun to browse!
