SU CASA ... a furniture boutique
Posted April 23, 2008
I crossed the bridge to Cape Coral this week to check out Su Casa as I have seen ads in the paper that intrigued me. It is a wonderful store filled with color and warmth. Plus surprises everywhere you look! A fun place to shop!
It is a family operated business owned by Lucy and her two daughters, Debbie and Judi. They have been in this location for two years, prior to that five years on Del Prado. They are not new to the business. Debbie said things are constantly changing as things sell they bring in something new.
Two weeks ago they opened a clearance center just next door with sales on discontinued or overstocked items. Right outside the front door is a court yard filled with beautiful pots and re-cycled plastic furniture that is quite unique.
Pub table and chairs, rockers and chairs in bright, bold colors. Very beachy!
Inside the colorful pieces found here are what you need to spruce up any room, like the lime green tables, chests, cocktail tables and accessories. For a sunny bedroom there is a bright yellow dresser and night stand, perfect for a girl's room! I loved all the colors, there were even some pieces in lavender.
A shuttered mirror in seafoam green caught my eye and would be a good accent piece on any wall. There were a lot of unusual mirrors and one of a kind finds! Like hand beaded creatures, snake or a frog. I saw modern lamps all swirly with different colored bulbs. Colorful small chests and benches. A handsome large, dark woven storage trunk. Interesting pillows. Debbie said the Tommy Bahama collection is very popular and the hand painted items just fly out the door!
Su Casa carries upholstered pieces, you can choose the fabric you like from their many choices. I loved the white slip covered look sofa, it was so comfy and you can easily change your rooms look with different colored pillows and accent pieces. The cover comes off and goes right into the washer! And the pillow that said, "Marriage is a compromise, my husband makes the money and I spend it for him." Priceless!
This store is worth a visit ... it makes you smile when you walk in the door! They have kitschy things, beachy things, funky things and FUN things!
Su Casa is located at 4635 Coronado Parkway in Cape Coral.
