An employee of the Publix supermarket at 19100 Tamiami Trail South in Fort Myers called the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday to report that two women had fled the store with a large amount of groceries without paying for the items.

$731.41 worth of unpaid items, to be exact.

According to the police report, a Lee County deputy observed a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s car a short time later and arrested Amanda Paris, 27; Rue Ann Burns, 45; and Kenneth Lemacks, 59, all of Lehigh Acres. All three were charged with grand theft and transported to Lee County jail.

And as people become more and more desparate you can expect crime to escalate beyond anything you've experienced.

It'll be know as the very great depression.

We're already in a recession although 'they' won't admit it.

Yeah if the ethnic food isle was totally cleaned out it was because people paid for it. As you can see standup4america, the names on these idiots do not belong to hispanics or illegals. Get a life standup, a crime is a crime no matter who commits it. All your blog comments are racist and have nothing to do with the incident.

Standup, get a grip already. As if there aren't Americans who get gov. checks. As if there arent Americans involved in crime. As if Americans such as yourself aren't IGNORANT. I personally know more AMERICANS who fit the description than illegal immigrants. What about all the wonderful americans who committ insurance fraud that costs us BILLIONS in higher premiums. What about all the white men who are into kiddie porn and rape children? What about all the white men who kill their pregnant wives, or ex wives etc. Oh thats right, it doesnt cost the taxpayer money at all to fund ridiculously long court proceedings for any of that.....Oh wait, I bet those white men do that because the illegal immigrants make them do it...... Give me a break already. Why don't you find out how much the Scott Peterson case cost taxpayers, or that Couey guy.

And while you're at it, why dont you tell me how much it costs the taxpayers to drag the fake war veteran to court, or how much it will cost this country for the credit card companies to entice millions of people into debt? What about our wonderful american mortgage companies? What about the wonderful american people who decide what kind of idiotic education we teach our kids? Do you know where the US ranks in education comparatively??? Who will run this country when we are so in debt and uneducated? Are illegals to blame for that??? They must be.

#12 Posted by NaplesResident7 on September 3, 2007 at 3:24 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Why is it that EVERY single story that runs in this paper turns into a blog about illegal immigrants! Don't you people have anything better to do than worry about a few Mexicans! Do they really scare you that badly! Get a life!
