Kohl's job fair begins Sunday in North Naples

The economy may be struggling but one retail chain is expanding into North Naples.

Kohl’s Department Stores is holding a job fair Sunday through Thursday, Aug. 14, to hire about 150 people for its new store opening in Collier County in October. Full- and part-time positions are available at the store along Naples Boulevard, west of Airport-Pulling Road and north of Pine Ridge Road.

The job fair, which will be held at the Hilton Naples on U.S. 41, is scheduled as follows:

10:45 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Sunday and Monday; 12:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Aug. 14; and 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13.

Applicants should visit www.kohlscareers.com or call 877-NEW-KOHLS (877-639-5645) — a 24-hour job hotline — to obtain further details, begin the application process and secure an interview slot.

The Menomonee Falls, Wis.-based Kohl’s expects to be operating 1,004 stores in 48 states by the end of November. For a list of store locations and information, or to shop online, visit www.kohls.com.

Since March 6, coyotes have been fingered in a string of attacks against dogs, cats and goats in Lee and Collier counties. Coyotes have killed three small dogs, injured three others, and caused a man who came into contact with the coyote’s saliva and a woman who was bitten by one to have rabies shots.
