The Education Foundation of Collier County kicks off its 19th year of the Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Program this week when nomination forms are distributed to all Collier County Public School students.
Nomination forms are also available online at www.educationforcollier.org or at all Collier public schools.
Nominations are due by Thursday, Sept. 4.
Once nominated, the teacher chooses whether they would like to continue in the process by submitting an application.
The Golden Apple Awards will take place in May 2009 at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts.
