Ouch.

This hurts.

It hurts to write this almost as much as it does to pay these prices for gas as the $4 mark gets closer by the day.

On this date in history in the year 1942 wartime gasoline rationing went into effect in 17 eastern states. The Made In The U.S.A. citizen driving a nonessential vechicle was limited to 3 gallons a week. The greatest generation bit the bullet and complied to F.D.R.'s mandate.
Bush, a self proclaimed war time president, is in the Middle East holding hands with the OPEC oil shieks trying to convience them to pump more crude oil out of their reserves. Is it time to call on modern science to clone F.D.R. and show the world a real war time leader?
Soon a new memorial wall will be constructed to list the names of the brave daughters and sons of the Made In The U.S.A. citizens that have paid the ultimite price to win the war on "oil".
Bush's new son in law or daughters will not make the mark. The Democratic side will be there to mark the occasion, but no names of their sons and daughters will be etched in the stone.

Better yet, just increase our own oil driling & refining capacity to match demand.

I've seen a quote from the Dept. of Energy cited in many places that demand has increased 30% in the last 20 years but refining capacity has DECREASED 40% in the same time span!

Price goes up when production doesn't match supply so you have to go elsewhere to get it.

Since March 6, coyotes have been fingered in a string of attacks against dogs, cats and goats in Lee and Collier counties. Coyotes have killed three small dogs, injured three others, and caused a man who came into contact with the coyote’s saliva and a woman who was bitten by one to have rabies shots.
