Major crimes

• Auto burglary: Jose Manuel Bracero reported someone unlawfully opened the hood of his vehicle and took engine parts while parked in the Coastland Center mall, 1900 Ninth St. N.

• Grand theft: Employees of the Sunglass Hut, 1866 Ninth St. N., reported the theft of three sunglasses valued at more than $760.

Arrests

• Petit theft (retail)/Resisting merchant/Resisting arrest: Jared Charles Caruso, 22, of Fort Lauderdale was arrested following a theft investigation at Dillard’s, 1798 Ninth St. N., in the Coastland Center mall.

• Battery: A juvenile female was arrested following an altercation at Fleischmann Park, 1300 Fleischmann Blvd.

• Warrant arrest/Driving while license suspended or revoked: Ronald M. Amat-Moreno, 26, of Naples was arrested following a traffic stop at 100 12th Ave. S.
