NAPLES The League of Women Voters of Collier County announces its candidate forum schedule for the November 4, 2008 General Election.
The District 4 School Board Candidate Forum, with candidates Julie Sprague and Joe Paterno, will be on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 6-7 p.m. at the Board of County Commission Chambers. Immediately following, at 7 p.m. there will be a discussion of the Constitutional Amendments and Local Referendum.
On Friday, October 24, 2008 at 6 p.m. there will be a forum for Collier County Commission District 5 with candidates Jim Coletta and Russell Kish. Immediately following at 7 p.m., Maria Jimenez and Matt Hudson, candidates for State Representative District 101 will debate.
All candidate forums will be broadcast live on Comcast Cable 11. Internet users may watch the broadcast live by going to www.colliergov.net. The forum will be rebroadcast several times as well as viewed via the Collier County government video archive.
The public is invited and may submit questions in advance to the League for consideration or at the forum. All questions will be reviewed and asked by the League moderator. Questions may be sent to President@lwvcolliercounty.org.
