NAPLES Anthony Karambellas and Christian Dagge, both 16-year-olds, won the junior angler division at the Redsnook Catch and Release Charity Tournament hed by the Conservancy of Southwest Florida on Oct. 5.
Karambellas and Dagge won without a guide. The Barron Collier High School students piloted their boat from Bonita Springs the day before the event, and slept in sleeping bags on a borrowed dock. The two also secured their own sponsors -- Randy's Fish Market Restaurant, Downing-Frye Realty, Inc., and Punta Gorda Yacht Broker -- in order to raise the entry fee. The two also caught their bait from the boat the night before.
