- Anchor Management: Safe boating involves many subjects - I would like to give you a run-down of the many subjects involved with boating safety in the form of a quick Q&. I number them for easy recall.
- Anchor Management: Safe boating includes knowing the rules of the road - When my wife and I purchased a 22 foot sailboat in 1962 we were thrilled to sail off the shores of Westport, Connecticut. We were having a grand time when another boater waved their arms to tell us I was on a shoal loaded with rocks.
- Naples and Marco Island Fishing Report: Chilly end to the fishing in October but November warming up. - Fishing in the Naples and Marco area was definitely hot and cold at the end of October. A cold winter blast came though which interrupted some spectacular Snook and Tarpon fishing. And even though the daytime fishing slowed the night still belonged to the fly anglers. I hope for continued warm weather through November and continued strong fishing.
- Naples and Marco Island Fishing Report: Great Forecast ahead for month of October! Check it Out! - Well September has come and gone and now we are firmly entrenched in October. The Fishing in the Naples and Marco area should continue about the same as for September with a slight increase in our offshore fishing along with an increase in Redfish and a decrease in our Snook and Tarpon activity. Now remember this all depends on the weather and the abundance of bait in our water. If the temps stay high like they did last year then the Redfish that are here will be less active but the Snook and Tarpon will be more active. So far this has been the case. It looks as if at least for the next couple of weeks that the fishing in the Naples and Marco area is going to stay about the same with good numbers of Snook being caught from the back country to the beaches. The near shore wrecks will be producing on many fronts including some inshore species like Snook and Tarpon migrating out early getting ready for the winter slow down and some Redfish moving in to feed on the copious amounts of bait that will be their.
- Naples and Marco Island Fishing Report: Super fishing ahead for September if we can keep out of the storms - Fishing in the Naples and Marco area was saved by just receiving a glancing blow from Faye. I hope we can stay out of the direct path of the rest of them. If the storms stay away fishing shouls stay good for september.
- Naples and Marco Island Fishing Report: July was hot August fishing should be the same for the Naples and Marco waters. - Fishing in the Naples and Marco back country waters were hard to beat in July. If weather patterns hold the same for August should be just as good just look for a little movement of the fish.
- Naples and Marco Island Fishing Report: What can I say, fishing best i have ever seen in the last 30 years. - The only problem with fishing right now is to decide what you would like to fish for. Fishing in the Naples and Marco area is just absolutley some of the best I have seen in my 30 + years of fishing these waters. I hope this continues all summer.
