Early Collier voters sure of their candidates
Posted August 26, 2008
A few early bird voters strolled into Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church in North Naples minutes after the poll opened at 7 a.m., their minds made up for who they want for their next Collier County Sheriff and to serve on the School District.
Kevin Rambosk, the likely successor to Sheriff Don Hunter, was garnering more votes by a two-to-one margin over private investigator Victor Ortino.
Five of eight voters in various North Naples polling places, willing to share how they cast ballots, favor Rambosk, with the other three other voters wanting Ortino. A third candidate, Vinny Angiolillo, did not receive any early votes.
Irene Lang, a registered nurse at Naples Day Surgery, didn’t like the way Ortino and Angiolillo campaigned.
"Rambosk stayed very professional," Lang said. "He was a gentlemen. The other two were mudslinging and that is uncalled for."
Betty Lounds voted shortly after 7:30 at the church, stating she wants change on the school board even though she doesn’t have kids in the school district.
Nearly all who voted early Tuesday at various North Naples polling places were impressed with the new vote scanners.
"I thought it was easy to use," Lounds said.

What ever happened to the media not reporting any early polling in an effort to remain fair and unbiased. I guess the NDN just couldn't help supporting their candidate one more time. Outrageous!!

PS: To my friends at the NDN...here are a few facts:
Eight votes means nothing..
Two to one would be four votes to two...or eight votes to four, etc. and finally, one that's ONE vote different and they are dead even.
Why not think before you write.
