Abbott got 15% of the vote. I guess that's all that needs to be said concerning that race.

GREAT news on the Sheriff's race!! Good day for Collier County; we've made the right choice!

Congratulations to the new Sheriff, Kevin Rambosk!

When people whine about how bad it gets under Rambosk that voted for him they have no right. They will see it's going to get bad very bad. Not to worry have people working on exposing the corruption. It will come out might take awhile but it will be exposed.

Great to have a qualified Sheriff - could you imagine the ignorance the County would have to endure if Ortino or Vinny would have won.

Time to get off the soapbox Toesmom. Go complain to someone who cares!!
Don't worry though, you can vote for sheriff again in 4 years.

Congrats Sheriff Rambosk

Congratulations to the voters and candidates! Another great show of Democracy...

CONGRATULATIONS JIM COLETTA!

Unfairly portrayed in these blogs and, what do you know, a normal everyday "one of us". One of 4 on this Commission that actually listens to the voters....

I haven't missed voting in an election since I first became eligible. Didn't vote today, but voted early via a mail in ballot. I liked the touch screens better than the fill in the dots. People were wrong to be so paranoid about the touch screens.

Looking forward to voting in every other election possible while I live and breathe. I am relatively young so I will enjoy this honor many times, I hope.

To you who don't value your freedom enough to vote, I don't even have pity on you. And, you best just sit back and keep your comments to yourself.

Sweet looking forward to more accidents at intersections.

If there is a run off in Nov. how soon will the new school member replace Linda Abbott?

This is so bitter sweet. On one hand I am happy that I don't have to read anymore of Toesmom, Mothernature, naplesTrek and the rest of the mudslinging haters crap on here, yet on the other hand I will miss their anger.

The supervisor of elections said that 20% is a normal turnout. They make things as convenient as possible for people, early voting, easy machines to use, absentee ballots. Makes you wonder why people even bother to register to vote. I bet if they let you text your vote in they'd have a better turnout......who am I kidding, they still would'nt.

75% Rambosk

20% Ortino

It was close. (between Vinny and Vic). Bye bye angry bloggers.

Toesmom, you are a classic example of a sore loser! Rambosk will be a good sheriff, a hell of a lot better than the other two so called candidates!

My family voted for Rambosk. He will do good!

Never never never patronize a UNION.

My family also voted for Curatolo & Sprague.

Linda Abbott - Have you ever heard of the saying, "what goes around comes around"? The voters in Collier County have let you know loud and clear that they aren't as ignorant as you thought they were when you and your cronies underhandedly brought Thompson to Collier County.

A qualified Sheriff - He is very qualified ..@ abuse of power & cover ups. I think the voters choice was ignorance or a qualified Bully...I hope its a short four years. I am not sure how we can afford all the abuse of power court settlements.
