A Naples man who was arrested in April for bringing his 2-year-old daughter along on an alleged shoplifting spree in Collier County was arrested Tuesday in Lee County after he was accused of pulling a pocket knife on a Bonita Springs loss prevention officer who was trying to stop him from shoplifting.
Kelvin Shane Townsend, 31, of 2983 Terrace Ave., Naples, was arrested on felony charges of grand theft and aggravated assault with the attempt to commit a felony, and misdemeanor counts of resisting store personnel and resisting law enforcement without violence following the incident at the Bonita Springs Home Depot.
The arrest report says a loss prevention officer at the store attempted to stop Townsend, who had allegedly taken bolt cutters and a drill. At first, Townsend was cooperative, but soon a fight broke out and Townsend pulled a pocket knife out and opened the blade.
The loss prevention officer backed off and allowed him to escape, but pushed a cart into him, which caused Townsend to stumble and drop the knife.
The report says Townsend concealed himself under thick brush and was “begging not to be bit by the dog” when deputies arrived with K-9s. He was then arrested. The estimated value of the merchandise was $430.
“When confronted with how he was going to pay for the merchandise with only $12 in his possession, he stated he was not going to buy anything. He just likes to carry things and pretend like he’s shopping,” the report says.

Right, Kelvin. I think you may be due for some tax-payer funded mental help after your stay in jail. That, or you're just a really bad liar.

I am soooo tired of this Naples trash infecting Bonita Springs. We need to build a 500 million dollar wall to prevent this kind of crime.
We need to check this man with immigration, and possibly deport his butt back to the country he came from.
I don't care if he came from Massachusetts.......he should go back, no matter what the political climate is.

volochine guess what our new sheriff elect Rambosk said at a forum/debate that he is going to push our crime north into Lee county. Isn't that nice of him. I did not support him.
