The defendant has been here illegally since 2006. That's more than enough time to learn what "freeze" and "drop the weapon" mean. You cannot produce a weapon, point it a the police and expect anything other than getting shot repeatedly. It's not like the defendant was "profiled" for being a hispanic on a bike at 12:51AM. He rode up on the officers and produced a weapon which he POINTED AT THEM. Nice job CCSO. Glad none of the officers or the woman that got pulled over were injured.

I will not recognize and cannot accept a world in which Philadelphia sports teams are winners. Second rate teams inhabit second rate cities. Philly fans are, however, nothing better than 3rd class. These are the same fans that booed Mike Schmidt, threw snowballs at Santa Claus and cheered when Michael Irvin broke his neck on the field. Go Rays, please! My opinion has nothing to do with the fact that I spent most of my life in New Jersey and root for the Mets, Giants, Devils and Nets. Alright, almost nothing. Go Rays!

I've driven for a living in major cities, suburbs and rural areas all up and down the east coast. SWFL is home to the most inept drivers I have encountered. The roads are full of slower reacting seniors, disoriented tourists, multi-taskers (phones, make-up, shaving or reading) those for whom English is a second (if at all) language and those who are hell bent on getting around those previously mentioned at all costs. I was right behind a chain reaction multi car crash on GG Pky just west of Airport this morning. One car stopped rather than merge into traffic and three other cars just kept going.

The last paragraph of the article says it all. So much for illegal entry on the basis of finding work to provide for their families. Since neither presidential candidate is going to stop the flow of illegals, the CCSO is going to have to round em' up and send em' back. Sad part is that they will be back before you know it.

Hispanic females of childbearing age are tipping the scales. When was the last time that you saw a latina that was not lactating? One in the oven and 2 on the ground. It is as if the hispanic community is making a conscious decision to breed without regard for the conditions that the children will be in. Push one out for the revolution!
