Can we just leave it up to US Auto to figure out. How can continuing to do the same things lead to a different result?

The big 3 would not be doing the same thing. A Chapter 11 would allow the big three to get rid of the UAW. Get rid of a job bank of 12000+ UAW members being paid for not working, get rid of an annual 2.6 billion for pay for no work.
Remember UAW members telling you "never buy a car made on Monday". Why do you suppose the reason for that was?
As far as closing down, remember when United Airlines shut down for their reorganization under chapter 11??

Edna,
Talk to the retired UAW union members here in Florida. They are aware who helped cause the problem. Neighbor is double dipper from Chrysler & GM.
Which Union were you in Edna.
I was in Electrical Workers & Laborers Unions. There was a derogatory name for you if you actually tried to do a good job, and you could be persuaded to change an attitude.
Read the 1st sentence of the 2nd paragraph of the Union website: http://www.laborers.org/
Here is another good one. http://www.ipsn.org/laborers/local_10...
And another. Notice how all the crooks stick together?? http://www.ipsn.org/carey3.html
They are old but always entertaining reading. Way towards the end is about the $125 hr for McCormick Place during trade shows. What a great country!! Nice work when you get it.
And political pull trumps unions because politicians allow unions to exist.
Unions are political piggy banks.
Just an opinion.

prorev.com is a 30 year old democrat source of news.

Elephanttamer,
Did you ever consider that your attitude epitomizes what is wrong with the democrat party??
Just an opinion based on your most recent posts.
What suburb are you from?

pzuris,
Do some research on the President Elect and look at the elections he won, and HOW he won. Look at the election he lost and how he prostituted himself so he could win later.
Politics, even with term limits, can be a very immoral undertaking

Tom Kelly,
Before you start calling someone heartless, think what was happening. I have been in a similar "white truck" situation.
The car in front of me hit a dog. I stopped my car to see if it was OK. It was injured severely with many broken bones and lots of blood. It was in extreme pain. I went to my car with the thought to get something to end it's suffering. It was then that I realized that a Tom Kelly may be watching as I end this dog's suffering. Time to leave and not do the humane thing.
I had the blood stained front seat bringing a another injured dog to the vet only to have it die in route.
I have stopped many times on the San Cap road to carry a turtle off the road and place it on the shoulder to the applause of others that stopped but did nothing. Apparently, they were waiting for a government solution. Previously, numerous cars in front of me had just driven around it.
Please don't castigate others if you don't know diddly squat about the circumstances.
Plus, as you wrote, it was a cat, in the outdoors, most likely a stray. How many hundreds of birds were saved?? It would have been heartless to let this killing machine survive.

What is best for America and our economy has nothing to do with the Auto Industry Bailout

argh
You might be off the mark a little.
These "socialized" government schools??
Notre Dame, USC, Duke, Harvard, Yale, MIT, Cal Tech, Univ Chicago, Princeton, Univ Miami ........ need more ...... Stanford, Washington Univ Emory, Northwestern, Rice, Columbia
How about private high schools???? Top major city schools predominately private ( and usually cheaper cost wise than public schools)
How about a private High School in the worst neighborhood of Chicago that has 100% of its graduates accepted into college ............... every year since 1974 ........Providence St. Mel High School

All the Constitutional experts out there are completely unaware that Obama is not the president elect yet. The electoral college has not officially reported its results.
It will take place next month I believe.
