Foreign Language classes do not have Honors weight until the student enters the 3rd year of the language. Spanish 1 and 2; French 1 and 2; and German 1 and 2 are level 2 classes- these do not carry Honors credit ANYWHERE in the State of Florida whether taken in Middle School or High School. Honors credit starts when you take your 3rd year of a Foreign Language. CCPS was awarding honors credit to Spanish 1 and 2 students illegally for many years when they should have gotten " regular" credit. This ain't no big deal. In the long run, it has no major effect on a kids GPA come Spring semester of senior year due to all the full credit and half credit classes they have taken and the gap is based on.

what a freakin' waste of time and energy ! This so called " CONTRACT" ain't worth diddley squat! They already have ( at the high school level) " Behavioral contracts", " Academic contracts", " Attendance contracts" and none are worth the paper they are printed on! Just another example of dumbing things down and keeping kids in school who don't want to do the academic work that is required to maintain the GPA needed to play sports. We're going down the tubes real fast here folks! Hold on tight.
