I'm curious to know what falls under the "other crimes" categories. Also, where is the cut off point regarding to how far in the past they got into trouble? If a person did something minor (i.e. possession of a small amount of marijuana or bouncing checks) will they not be able to become (or remain) a teacher regardless of how long ago it was?

Online courses are great for someone who works full-time or just works better on their own schedule. Just don't get sucked into b.s. online schools like University of Phoenix Online. That is a total scam and the education isn't worth a damn.

I agree wholeheartedly with Bill Willkomm. A lot of the county deputies have too much free time on their hands. I've seen 9 cop cars show up during a simple traffic stop.

They must not really think there is anything there because they didn't evacuate any of the buildings surrounding the courthouse.

Do these people get deported after doing this crazy crap?

The charges were dropped. I'm not really surprised that it's not big news like when the deputy first tried to claim he was almost hit with a vehicle. I guess it goes to show that maybe people are right when they say a lot of the police in this town are nothing but liars and crooked cops. It really is a shame.

I don't really know what to make of this whole situation, but it does seem like the officers had no choice but to defend themselves from what they deemed to be a threat on their lives. I can't believe someone would be so stupid as to think they could point a gun at 3 police officers and they would not be shot. If this is not a case of suicide by cop, then he was just plain stupid. "Multiple shots" does sound a bit excessive, but no one can say what they would do if they were in the situation. I'm sure adrenaline has a lot to do with how many shots get fired.
