Ave Maria gets a ton of bad press because it has not kept its word to the people who have moved to Ave Maria. Where is the substation? the Publix? the Bank? and so many other businesses?
Call up Publix and Florida Community Bank - see what they have to say aboout the opening dates. Do not reply on the flowery Ave Maria site to tell you the real deals.

Where are the police Ave Maria Town and Company have said would be stationed in Ave Maria? An armed robbery in DAYLIGHT hours?! Is anyone shocked by this? Those poor people are sitting ducks with broken wings out there.
Think about it for a minute, a rich town built by a billionare in the middle of the Everglades with no police force? Hello? Does this shock or surprise anyone?

There will be more violations in that town discovered overtime. The place is not going to last once some of the activity there is uncovered, which it will be. Time is truth in the end...

Good luck trying to sell these condos in this market! Make sure you tell people about all of the related fees they will be paying when they live in Ave Maria. I have heard it is VERY expensive to live out there with all of the added fees.

How in the world can the ABA do this? Let's see...roughly 18 out of 20 professors are gone in one year? And that meets the ABA approval? Let us see a HARD COPY of the ABA letter to AMSOL before we believe AMSOL or any Ave Maria business. Liam please, don't talk to the kool-aid drinkers...talk to the people on the front lines whose lives have been ruined by Ave Maria.

Yes, this is about power or authority - whether Mr. Monaghan and Mr. Healy will submit to the person appointed by the Catholic Church to appoint pastors to parishes, or not. The Bishop has a duty to uphold, which by Church law he cannot hand over to others. Like all disagreements it can be reduced to one or two words, but it is simplistic to then make the leap that both parties are equally venal or guilty. In this case, the Bishop is doing his duty as a Catholic bishop, and Monaghan and Healy are not doing their duty to provide the Catholic parish they promised so many times, because the only way that can happen is to obey the Bishop. Monaghan and Healy want their own church to run. They need to decide to be Catholics, or not. If not, then they need to quit using the name Catholic and be honest about who they are and what they want.
