Black Friday: Coastland Center

As light came into the sky, parking at the Coastland Center Mall was going at a premium. Shoppers arriving at 7 a.m. found they had to park further and further away from the doors as the garages began to fill up. The rest of the Coastland Center mall in Naples may have been quiet on Friday morning, but JCPenney was bustling. The story opened at 4 a.m. to anxious customers. Two of the hottest items in the store were the Wii and X-Box game stations, which hold video games and controllers for the Wii and X-Box. Customers snatched the towers up for $69. Dressed in a Christmas vest, Naples resident Kathy Vaughan stood at the cash register at JCPenney's taking advantage of the deals. "We picked names for Christmas yesterday, so I am looking for gifts for that," she said. This is Vaughan's second time shopping on Black Friday. "The deals are really good," she said.
